Nine people were injured in a gas explosion in a residential building in Dalian.
At about 19:10 p.m. on January 8, a gas leak occurred on the 4th floor of Building 13, Rongxin Lane, Bayi Road, Xigang District. After receiving 110 alarms, the police of Bayi Police Station, the local patrol police and the staff of the gas company rushed to the scene immediately.
Gas explosion occurred in the process of checking the gas leak point, which injured 9 people. All of them were sent to the hospital for treatment. There was no life danger. All the residents in the corridor had been evacuated. At present, there was no open fire on the scene.
Secretary Tan Zuojun of the Dalian Municipal Committee and Mayor Tan Chengxu of the Municipal Government gave the first instructions, demanding that all efforts be made
to treat the wounded, identify the causes of the accident and prevent the occurrence of secondary disasters. They also instructed the executive vice mayor of Lulin, Vice Mayor
Yang Yaowei and the main leaders of the Xigang District Committee and District Government to rush to the scene to organize and deploy on-site rescue, mass resettlement and other related work.
At present, there are no deaths and 9 minor injuries on the scene. All of them have been sent to the hospital for treatment. The situation on the scene is stable and controllable.
Reporters learned from the Propaganda Department of Dalian Municipal Party Committee that a residential building in Bayi Road, Xigang District, Dalian City, exploded with a tremendous sound.
